NATIONAL MEMBERS' AWARD EXHIBITION "2010"

Members and attending delegates to the JMGA Biennial Conference in Perth, Western Australia are invited to submit works in a national exhibition showcasing artistic talent of makers throughout Australia. The theme for the exhibition is ’20 x10’ the only limitation is that the piece doesn’t exceed a space 20cm x 10cm and 10cm in dimension.

Conditions of Entry

    1. Entries are open to all national JMGA members but also to delegates attending the conference from within Australia.

    2. A maximum of one (1) entry per artist (A set will be considered one entry with one inclusive price for the set).

    3. The entry fee is $40 for members and $30 for student members to be received with the entry form. The entry fee can be paid by cheque or money order made payable to JMGA WA (Inc).

    4. Entries will not be exhibited without the receipt of the entry fee.

    5. Entry forms and entry fees must be post marked on or before February 5th 2009. Failure to do so will result in works not being displayed.

    6. All work must fit within and not exceed an area 20cm x10cm x10cm. Please note that this size will be strictly adhered to, any work even slightly over, in fairness to other exhibitors will not be accepted.

    7. Works must be original and have been completed in the last 12months.

    8. All works must be for sale. Sale price must include a  40% commission set by Perth Galleries and include GST.

    9. JMGA WA reserves the right to exclude from exhibition any submitted items that they deem inappropriate, of insufficient merit or arrive in damaged condition.

    10. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

    11. Insurance - While every care will be taken with works the JMGA WA or Perth Galleries accepts no liability for damage or loss during transit or while at the gallery. Any costs relating to additional insurance is to be at the Artists own expense.

    12. The artists agree to the reproduction in whole or in part by print or electronic media only for promotion of the exhibition. Copyright remains the property of the artist.

    13. Artists will receive payment, less commission for any works sold by Perth Galleries within 30 days of closure of the exhibition.

RECEIPT OF WORK

  1. All works must arrive with the delivery form completed and attached before March 12th 2010. Works will not be exhibited if the entry fee has not been received.

  2. Delivery of the artwork is the responsibility of the artist. Unsold artworks will be returned in their original packaging COD at the expense of the artist.
